The organizer, Shanti Nepali Society UK, stated in a press conference in Birmingham on Sunday that they are excited to make the fair, which will be held on Monday, August 10, at the West Bromwich Collegiate Academy, a success. More than 3,000 Nepalis from all over the UK and Europe, including the Midlands, are expected to participate in the fair, which is co-organized by more than a dozen other organizations. Koshleshwar Dhakal, coordinator of the fair management committee and former president of the Peace Nepali Society UK, informed that the fair will feature Teej dance and song in the original style of Nepal, as well as various cultural programs and special musical performances by renowned national artists. According to coordinator Dhakal, popular singer Melina Rai will be the main attraction at the fair. Famous singer duo Ramesh Raj Bhattarai and Chandra Sharma, singer Jamuna Rana, and singer and presenter Shobha Tripathi will also perform on the occasion. On this occasion, women's groups and organizations from various parts of the UK will present original Teej dances and songs, accompanied by the playing of madals and claps. Similarly, the Shanti Nepali Society UK will also be performing Naumati Baja, Lakhenacha, Horse Dance, Cultural Tableau, etc. Groups from different parts of the UK are also preparing to perform original Bhajan Kirtan. Fun games such as wife carrying, spoon running, and rice cracking will also be held for entertainment during the fair. Similarly, there will be attractions for children such as face painting, bouncy castles, and photo booths. A total of more than a dozen stalls of various trade and services, including half a dozen stalls of Nepali food, will be set up at the fairgrounds. On that occasion, an open volleyball tournament is being held with the participation of a dozen teams from all over the UK. The winner of which will receive 1,600 pounds and the runner-up will receive 1,000 pounds in cash, along with trophies, medals, and certificates. Similarly, children's football is also being played. During the inauguration of the fair, there is a program to recite the Swasti (sweeping mantras) by Pandit Ishwori Sharma of the local Pashupatinath Temple.
